Eurogypt is a member of Naggar Group of Companies established in 1989 and has been present in the shipping industry for over a century under different styles and names serving all aspects of shipping practice. The management today is third generation of original founders, still providing the same high quality dedicated service we provided all over the 100 years with a modernized staff and facilities that take these services easily to the 21st century.

Eurogypt started MOHAMED Y. EL NAGGAR in 1907 as a General Contractor & Shipping services. The company changed names to later MOHAMED YACOUT EL NAGGAR SONS as shipowners / operators,shipping agents & ship chandlers. The company was nationalized back in 1961.

The owner established an Egyptian joint stock company Egyspan with Spanish partners which owned and operated its own vessels. Eurogypt was then created in 1989 under law 259 for free zones when the Egyptian partners (El Naggar family) decided to buy out all shareholders, widen the service area to include full East/West Med. Line with its own fleet and performed voyages under its own operation arm, moreover a full vessel management was established.

In July 1998 we restored our open tonnage shipping agency license when Egyptian government decided to liberalize the ship agency sector after almost 38 years of nationalization. We have since; served as tramp agents in all Egyptian ports.

Today we are acting on behalf of world's major shipowners ship operators and multinational charterers in dry bulk as well as tankers.

We introduced in the year 2000 a dry bulk ship broker division which is responsible for chartering for our group needs as well as for our clients in order to integrate our full services. We can proudly say that Eurogypt has become a major local broker with size varying from mini bulk carriers to capesize performing both spot charter and long term contracts.

Our long experience in all segments of the business have created the proper opportunity to build the knowledge and staff necessary to handle and provide the best service to our clients.
